Events

At Thurgoona Public School, there is always something to look forward to! Our vibrant calendar of events brings our school community together through learning, sport, creativity, culture and celebration. From carnivals, performances and special celebrations to open days, excursions and community events, these experiences give students opportunities to build confidence, discover new strengths and create lasting memories. They also invite families to be part of the journey—celebrating achievements, sharing special moments and strengthening the connections that make Thurgoona Public School such a wonderful place to learn and belong.

Regular school events

Families are welcome to join us for the many events that happen across the school year. These include sporting events and carnivals, K-2 Easter Hat Parade, school performances, Education Week activities, Book Week parade, presentation days and graduation ceremonies.

School assemblies

Please join us for our fortnightly school assemblies, where each class is rostered on to perform a class item.

Date: Wednesdays, during the even weeks of school term
Time: K-2: 12pm to 12.30pm, 3-4: 12.40pm to 1.10pm, 5-6: 1.50pm to 2.20pm
